DUNEDIN, March 22. Arising out- of charges of alleged Itheft of goods against two men yesiterday the detectives last night arrested Frances E. Bell, a widow,: who has been employed at the D.1.C., and Mrs D reavers," on a charge of stealing Doultbri china and glass ware from the D.1.C., valued at £50. JBer daughter was also apprehended on a charge of receiving the goods .alleged to have been taken by one .of the male offenders. It was stated by the police that -fche latter accused had signed a statement admitting that she had received the goods from the man already on remand, and that she knew they were stolen. Accused was remanded on bail. In the case against the mother -'the police said the accused admitted taking some of the goods away herself and sending others in parcels to her house.
