PELORUS JACK.
THE DEAD FISH THOUGHT TO
BE HEM
The Press Association agent at "Whakapuaka telegraphs as follows: A bottlehnosed whale resembling v':Pelorus Jack" ' has been washed Ashore at the south end of D'Urville Island. The fish, which is a male, has been dead about a week and is decomposed and mutilated. Mr G. Webber, postmaster at the French Pass, thinks the fish is "Pelorus Jack," and is now endeavouring to find out when "Jack" was last seen by navigators. - ' '-- "■■'-■ . : : . ',' ■■-
