CHRISTCHURCH, March IS. The conference of. delega,tes from the athletic centres to-day defeated a Wellington motion that the allocation of the Australasian championship meeting was entirely a matter for the Amateur Association's Council, and "agreed; that the next meeting be held in Duiedin. They also decided to recommend the Council to fix the NewZealand championship meeting for the month of February, and agreed that the next New Zealand championship meeting be decided as between Southland and Otago. The suggestion that an athletic calendar be published was unanimously endorsed. A motion to establish a new centre for Westland was allowed to lapse. A motion go permit amateurs to compete with professionals at trade picnics was defeated.

The conference decided to allocate the next athletic championships to Dunedin.
