THE RAILWAY WAR COUNCIL'S RECOMMENDATION.

SYDNEY, March 15. The report of the Railway War Council recommends that the Council should have a definite military constitution r for the creation of engineer [and railway staff corps; the proceeding of .the Council to be recorded, as recommendations to ,the Minister for Defence; the Council's duties generally to be to furnish advice on such railway matters as are referred to it by the Minister, to suggest regulations for the transportation of troops, and advise the local military authorities on the. capacity and possibilities of the railways.
