The annual report, which is as follows, was adopted:—The outgoing Union, in presenting their-annual report, beg to draw attention to the very successful nature of the football season ot 1910. Tho finances of the Union have been straightened out, and all outstanding liabilities (with the exception of the hon. secretary's honorarium for the season) paid off, and although the expiring Union have no credit balance to hand over they, have «ot burdened the new Union with old liabilities to be wiped out. CLUB FOOTBALL. Thy club football in the senior grade was not of as bigh » standard as could be desired, nor did the contest attract any great interest on the part of the public. This w,ast.due m a large measure to-the late start made with cup matches, which was owing to circumstances over which your Union had no control. > . i ~ . The lowei; "grades were productive, of better contests. ' Tho winners of ; the competitions were:—Senior Cup, Awatero football Club; junior contest, result is in doubt until the , decision of the N.Z.R.F.U. Appeal Committee is given on the case stated to them. The thirdi-class did not result in any decision being arrived at, tho competing clubs; Waitohi and Moutere, playing drawn matches on each occasion. "REP." MATCHES: In representative football the peason was one of unmeasured success. Both senior and junior representative teanis went through the season without losing a match. The record tor the season is as follows: — Senior Representatives: —v. NeL:on ; won, 24 points to 6; v. Buller, won, 14 to 8- v. Wellington, 8 to 6; r. West Coasfa, 10 to 8; v. This will fill a long-folt want, and the Union will now possess a comprehensive set of bylaws. PELORUS. T>3 Pelorus Sub-Union .have effectively controlled and advanced the interests of football in their district, and! no doubt football in the Pelorus will go on and prosper. Your Union gave all assistance in their power to the Pelorus Sub-Union, and hope the incoming Union will also be able to doso by arranging matches with the Pelorus teams. RECOMMENDATIONS. 'Mr Morrison said that the Union were to be congratulated in being in such, an excellent financial position. Owing to a late start last season, due Ito no fault of the outgoing Union, receipts for cup matches were very poor;,but everything augured well for a successful season this year. A large sum of money had passed, through the Union's hands, and the secretary's position had been an onerous one; but the old Union were still in debt to him, and' bad not been able to reward him commensurately with his services. The representative teams had gone through a trying season, but had come out^witbout having a defeat recorded against them. Speaking of the report, the only thing that called for comment was the unseemly delay of the New Zealand Rugby Union in deciding the Waitohi-Central B match protest, which would decide last season's junior cup. ,-.■■■■ ELECTION OF OFFICERS.
