BETWEEN CHURCH AND NON-
CONFORMISTS
[press association.]
LONDON, March 8. A feature of the Free Church Congress at Portsmouth was the rural dean's welcome. . In reply Dr Jowett, President of the Free Church Council, emphasised the desire for unity of co-operation* between the Church and Noncomformists. Dr. Jowett alluded to tho King's parting words to him: "You go with the goodwill of your King and Queen.' Mr Ramsay Macdonald addressed the Congress on the question of the unrest in the industrial world, and declared that the only remedy was to make mutual rights for individuals, and not give economic power on the basis of industrial agreements.
