[press association.] • (Received Mar oh 9, 10.30 p.m.) CAPETOWN, March 9. The British-India steamer Palatina struck an object west of East London and was beached. There is little prospect of salving her. The London Times suggests that the submerged-object was the steamer Waratah. '
