(Received March, 9, 1.5 a.m.) • . SYDNEY, March 8. Tha South Africans departed for Adelaide. A large gathering rarewelled the "Springboks," a mark of tho enthusiastic treatment on tour and the sportsmanlike qualities of the Australians.

Sherwell paid a high tribute to the Australian cricketers. There were no two ways about it; in every department- of the game they were superior. In batting they were heaa # and shoulders above the South Africans. Australia was the greatest batting sido in the world, and the bowling which the Soiri'i Africans thought their strength, avis not good enough.
