A cinematograph theatre has beeii burnt at Abrantes. In the panic which ensued fifty people were injured. THE PLAGUE DECREASING. PEKING, March 8. The plague in Manchuria is rapidly decreasing. There were 18 deaths at Mukden on Monday, and the other places are almost free. HEAVY RAIN AND SNOW. NEW YORK, March 8. Heavy rain and snowstorms throughout California have blocked the railways at San Jose and flooded1 the orchards, which are ruined. FOUR ROBBERS SHOT. ST.' PETERSBURG, March 8. Four robbers attacked and plundered a party of drovers in Poland, killing one. One policeman was severely wounded and all the robbers were shot' dead in attempting to swim the Vistula.
