DCNEDIN, March 8. Alexander McLuckie, a married man, aged 39 years, was killed by a fall of coal at Cooper's Mine, near Milton. Deceased and a man named Broom were filling coal, when a block of coal, about a ton in weight, •caught McLuckie, breaking his neck. Broome had a narrow escape and a trucker namel' Good was caught by the tail of the fall and had the muscles of his left arm stripped from the shoulder.
