THE MOUNT PEEL ESTATE.
CHRISTCHURCH, March 6. The Government has acquired between 2000 and 3000 acres of freehold and about, 50,000 acres of the Mount Peel Estate, South Canterbury, from the- trustees of the lata Hon. J B Acland. It is anticipated that the land will be open for selection by February, 1912.
