Miss F. Brewer has besn advised that she was successful in obtaining a partial D certificate at the recent teachers' examinations. Miss Brewer will leave Blenheim to-morrow for the training college in Wellington.

Mr W. Coath, of Rakaia, has beea appointed manager of the Bank of New Zealand at Ivaikoura, in succession to the late Mr Twemlow, and will take up his duties in about two weeks' time.
