HAVELOCK STOCK SALE

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report holding a stock sale at their Havelock Suburban yards on Friday last, when they offered a full yarding of sheep and 25 head of cattle. The sale was characterised by much more spirit tnan has recently been observed m the country saleyards and, with the exception of three pens, all lines were sold under the hammer at prices well up to sellers'- expectations. They quote prices as under: Fat ewes, 10s Bdj fat and forward: wethers, 2 and 4-tooth, mixed, 10s lid to 11s. Stores: Crossbred ewes, 2tooth, 10s; two, four, and six-tooth, mixed, 9s 96.: ,two-tooth to fresh full mouth, mixed, 7s 6d to. 7s 9d; six and eight-tooth, mixed, 6s Id, good mouth. 6s 2d to 7s; aged, 2s 8d to 3s 9d. Crossbred wethers., 2-tooth, 8s 2d to 8s sd. Lambs, mixed sexes, woolly, 4s 6d to 6s; shorn, 4s 6d to 6s. Forward lambs, woolly, 8s 9d. Romney rams, 3-shear, 2 to 2-| guineas. Catr tie: Cow with calf at foot, £6 12s 6d; dry cows, £3 12s 6d to £3 19s. Calves, mixed sexes, 28s to 295; heifers, 2$ years, £5 10s; others, £3 3s to £3 12s 6d; milker, £5 10s. The Company's next stock sales will be held at Picton to-morrow, at Seddon on Wednesday, and at Koromiko on Thursday next.
