Driver Allan was } fined £30 for not sending the fireman to the signal-box when detained by the advanced starting-signal. The fireman was fined £5. The guard of the first train was cautioned for not having tail lights burning. Signalman McDonald, of South Yarra, was dismissed the service, but, recommended for a less responsible position. Driver Melville, of the second train, was dismissed the service for not obeying the signals. His fireman was found not guilty of a similar charge.
