Before taking his departuro he wrp presented by the offi- '< cers of the local branch with a travelling bag and a tobacco pouch, as a mark of the esteem in which he is held. !
1 A Dunedin telegram states that the Otago Trades Council, as the executive for the Trades Councils of the Dominion, is circularising fall unions with a view to making a presentation to Mr Tregear on his retirement as Secretary for the Labor Department in January. The same body has circularised trades unions advocating Mr McCullough's re-election as the workers' representative on the Arbitration Court.
