j LOVE LOAVES. ! A Recipe we can recommend —make ! them ; Take two cupfuls of sugar, half a cupful of butter, one cupful of sweet milk, the white of four eggs, two teaspoonfuls of baking powder, two cupfuls of flour, a"nd one teaspoonful of vanilla. Cream the butter and sugar and add the milk. Sift the flour and baking powder together and add half of it. Mix-the eggs, well beaten, with the rest, and add the remainder •of the flour and the vanilla. Bake in a square pan. When cool cut in squares and cover with a chocolate icing, over which sprinkla cocoanut. For the icing take a cupful .and a half of sugar, with three tablespoonfuls of cream, and a third of a cake of chocolate. Boil .until it will rope \ when poured from a spoon. Pour tliis | over the beaten whites of two eggs. ; Beat until it thickens, and spread J over tho loaf. Serve with Crescent : BJend Tea (2s per 1b).
