CRICKET.
The following will represent the High School in the match against Onamalutu, on the High School ground, to-morrow, play commencing at 10.30 a.m. sharp:—Goukhng, Dodson. Eyre, Blick, Couch, Hall, Thomson, Reid, Horton, Fowler, Jenkins; emergencies, Fryer, J. Horton, and Rabone.
FLAXBOURNE CRICKET CLUB.
At a well-uttend«tl meeting held at Flaxbourne on October 29th (writes our correspondent), it was. resolved to form a Flaxbourne Cricket Club. The following officers were elected: — Patron, Mr John Duncan, M.P.,; president, Mr Alex. Thomson; vicepresidents, Messrs J. Cunningham, Monro, A. Davidson, A. D. Loe, E. A. Weld, J. J. Jenkins, and' F. Sharpe; committee, Messrs J. Hall, J. Jenkins, W. Porter, Devine, C. Butt, Crokor, L. Jenkins, Sharpe, Jas. Andrews, McNab, and Chapman; treasurer, Mr A. F. Loe; hon. secretary, Mr B. Leckner. It was resolved that tho annual subscription should be ss, and that the season should be opened on Saturday, November 12th, by a match between teams from tho Public Works Department and the Settlers' Association, when afternoon tea will be provided by the ladies. The following committee were appointed to organise a concert and 1 dance, to be held on November 18th, .to provide funds for cricketing material:—Messrs Porter, Chapman, Ball, Croker, Loe, and C. Butt.
