NEW ZEALAND v. WELLINGTON

A FAST, EVEN GAME.

[PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, June 3. The match New Zealand, v. Welling-, ton was played to-day, in fine weather, land before a large attendance. The game was very fast, and.was a good exhibition of football. Some fine passing rushes were indulged in during the afternoon by both sides. The New Zealand team were not vastly superior to their oponents, but should give a good account of themselves on the other side. The backs work well together, and the forwards are a fine lot, their play at times to-day;.being brilliant. The New Zealand team was as follows: —O'Leary (Auckland), Stohr (Taranaki), Mitchinson (Wellington), Wilson (Auckland), Mynott (Taranaki), Fuller (Canterbury), Roberts (Wellington), Budd (South Canterbury), Patterson (Otago), Paton (Otago), Francis (Auckland), Bligh (West Coast), Ridland Evans (Hawke's Bay), Wilson (Wellington). The rest of the team for Australia comprise J. Ryan and Mao beller (Wellington), Burns (Canterbury), Ivimey (Southland), and McGuire (Auckland).
