CRICKET.
SOUTH AFRICA AND AUSTRALIA.
THE GUARANTEE DIFFICULTY.
[press association.]
LONDON, June 3. Mr 3R6idevin, in a letter to the Daily iExpress referring to the South African* cricket team's proposed tour, declares that it is unlikely that the Australian Board of Control will give a £5000; guarantee for a short season unless: it is allowed to approve of the personnel of the team. If the South Africans; play good cricket they have nothing to fear financially. Mr Poidevin does not think that the hitch will affect the triangular matches.
