The present applications for space were reported to total 2837 square feet. The manager of the Wellington Gas Company wrote stating that as it had been decided to light the exhibition by electricity supplied from the city mains, the^ Board considered that the company had not received the consideration 'due to one of the largest industries, of the district, and had determined; not to take any part in the exhibition.
