DANNEVIRKE, March 10. Splendid weather prevailed for the second day of the races, but the acceptances were somewhat poor. The attendance was up to the average. Second Hack Hurdles: Nightmare 1, Moat -2, Farronite 3. Only starters. Won easily. . March Handicap: He.rmia 1. bunbonnet 2, Liza 3. Telephone Hack: Toanga 1, Amaru %2, Ascolan 3. Won by a length. Scratched: Hinekorangi. Tapuata Hack: Obscurity 1, Liquid 'Air 2, Passive 3. Scratched: Strath•moira, Royal Maid, Ford, and Irwell. [Won all the way. Autumn Handicap: Sandstream 1, Truganini 2, Te Puia 3. Scratched: Lethean. Juvenile Handicap: Sea Eagle 1, Waikhua 2, Deploy 3. Five others ran. Won all the way.. Mungatera Hack: Strathmoira 1, Golden water 2, Aimwell 3. Also started: Repeat and Lord Irwell. L Won by a length and a half. Kaitoke Welter: Marton 1, Lethean 2, Swimming Belt 3. Also started: Aboriginal and Waicola. Won easily. The totalisator receipts were £6093.
