FLAXBOURNE STOCK SALE.

Dalgety and Company, Limited, report holding their second Flaxbournesale yesterday in showery weather. Their yarding comprised 3575 mixedt' sheep, 28 rams, five horses, and sundries. The attendance from outside-' the settlement was small, and bidding: was consequently very slack. Lambswere the only line inquired for. Somegood ewes were yarded, but failed to*reach owners' reserves. The Wharanui ewes and lambs were a splendid:' line, but ewes were not sought after, and they go on the road immediately for a southern market. The lambssold well. Prices were as follows r Two, 4, 6, and full-mouth ewes 9s aged Merino ewes 2s; wether lambs ixi wool 8s 6d. English Leicester rams £. to 1J guineas. Draught gelding £34~ Harness and sundries sold well.
