At the final meeting of the Picton Jubilee Celebrations Coiumittee on Thursday evening (reports the Press) the treasurer (Mr C. D. Stuart) submitted, a balance-sheet, showing that the receipts amounted to £82; lls sd ; and the expenditure to £63 14s 4d, leaving a balance in hand of £18 17s Id. He stated that the Finance Committee /ecommended that a bonus of £5 sst should be voted to the secretary (Mr H. Simmonds), and that a deficiency of £4 13s in. connection with the. Jubilee ball he wiped dff, j^hich would "reduce, the balanbe to £8, jt§s Id. He moved that the bk^im^^bmi be adopted as ''read,' and: tji^t.ithe. recommendations of 'tire Finance Committee be given ;effecV t<fr, sMiis, was carried, amidst appltfufed. The dtiairman /TM[r Hk^ A..McCormick) congratulated Mr Bimmorids yon; the' efficient manner in which he had carried out liis secretarial duties.
