JUBILEE CEREBRATIONS.

A meeting of the Children's Entertaining Committee of the Jubilee Executive was held last night, and was attended by Messrs E. Jtl. Penny (in the chair), A. McCallum, F. W. Smith, H. J. Howard; ~Mr J. Humphreys, W. H. Marple, J, Hay, E. Stace, W. Jordan, W. Girling and W. B. Parker.

It was decided to hold a children's fete on Monday, Ist November, at the A. and P. Show Grounds, nnrl a subcommittee was set up to canvass the town for the commissariat.

It was decided to call for tenders for the refreshment, fruit, and lolly, stall at the children's fete.

Messrs F. W. Smith and W. Essonr were appointed to make arrangements in connection with the prizes for the children's sports.

It was decided to recommend th,& General Committee to grant £30 towards the children's fete and to give* their co-operation to the Children's. Committee in the matter of obtaining, the provisions and prizes.

All the teachers of the State schools and Sunday schools, and everyone interested in the children wero invited to become members of the Committee and attend the meeting on Wednesday next. ■■.-.
