RAILWAY MANAGEMENT.

TO THE EDITOB. Si rj —Seeing Messrs Goodman and Parker's criticism on the management of the local railway in last night's issue, I-can scarcely let their absurd garbling pass without comment. You also report interviews on the same question with Mr lleid, of the Loan and Mercantile, and Mr Sharp, of Dalgety's, who say that they ha/c little or no fault to find with I he management of the line. Now, Sir, I ask you, who is in the best position to judge, the heads of firms who lail some thousands of sacks of corn and bales of wool, etc., a year, or persons such as Messrs Goodman and Parker, who, perhaps, send an occasional package to Picton ? I should certainly^say those who do the business are the ones who are competent to judge, and I am sure that those who read this article will agree with me. Thanking you for space. FAIR PLAY.
