BLOODSHED IN PERSIA.
5000 PEOPLE MASSACRED. FIGHT WITH" TURKISH SOLDIERS. [press association.] ST. PETERSBURG, June 14. The Novoe Vremya reports that Shakhsevan tribesmen, ravaging the Ardabil district, Persia, killed 5000 people. The Russian Consulate is crowded with refugees. An altercation at Salmas between the Turkish Consul and the Persian gendarmerie led to a fight. Seven Turkish soldiers were killed and 20 captxired. Twelve Persians were killed.
