MUTINY IN THE PHILIPPINES. I

ASSAULT ON A CHURCH

[press association.] (Received June 14, 10.30 p.m.) LONDON, June 14. Owing to dissatisfaction over their food, a° portion of the native constabulary at Dayao Mindano, in the Philippines, mutinied. Mr Walker, the Governor, and other Americans and loyal natives took refuge in the church, which they defended for three hours against the mutineers' assaults until relieved by native constabulary from the Mapi ■district.
