ATTEMPTED ARSON.
FIRE FAILS TO CATCH
[PP.ESB ASSOCIATION.] WATROA, June 12. What is believed to be a deliberate attempt to burn down Winter's store and butchery was discovered yesterday. A quantity of paper was burned and the woodwork caught, but want of air extinguished the fire, which would have been a serious matter had it got a firm hold. Winter had only a small insurance and a heavy stock.
