LETTERS AND LETTER CARDS. Letters within Now Zealand, Id for the first 4oz or fiction thereof, and id for each succeeding 20/s or fraction thereof. . For United States of America, Id for each oz. or fraction thereof (to include Pago Pago and Hawaiian Islands, Porto Rico and Alaska). For United Kingdom, British Fgbsessions and other places enumerated in schedule at Post Office, Id for eacb oz. or .fraction thereof ; ior places not named, 2£d for each oz. and ljd for each succeeding oz. NEWSPAPERS. Within the Dominion, Jd for each newspapor ; to Australia, South Sea Islands, Canada, etc. each newspaper, Id ; to United Kingdom, Id by direct steamer, by other routes Id for first Boz. and id each additional 2oz. To other countries, for the first 4oz. Id, each additional 2oz. id. The weight of newspapers for transmission to Australia and British New Guinea at the Id rate is restricted to 20ozs for each copy ; for each lOozs or fraction thereof additional, id. POSTAL NOTES. One shilling, Is 6d, 2s, 2s 6d, |d ; 8s and ss, Id ; 10s up to 20s, 2d. MAGAZINES. Magazines (not registered), all ! places id each 2oz. Magazines (registered), within the Dominion, Id for each 16ozs or fraction thereof : Australia (except Queensland and I West Australia), under 2oza, id : i SJozs to Bozs, Id ; each additional 4ozs, id ; Queensland, West Australia, and other places, id each 2oz. The sender of a registered article may obtain acknowledgment of its due receipt on payment in advance of 2|d. BOOKS AND PRINTED PAPERS All places, §d for each 2ozs. REPLY COUPONS. As a means of enabling the sender of a letter addressed to a place abroad to prepay the postage on a reply, the Department issues reply coupons on payment of a fee of 3d. These coupons may be exchanged for a postage stamp of tho value of 2sd in any country which adopts the scheme. PARCEL POST. Maxmum weight, 111b : greatest length, 3ft 6in ; greatest length and firth combined, 6ft. Inland, 4d for rst lb, and 2d for each succeeding 1b or fraction thereof. United Kingdom, not exceeding 81b, Is ; not exceeding 71b, 2s ; sot exceeding 111b, 3s. Australian States, 8d for first lb, arid 6d for each succeeding Ib or fraction thereof up to 111b.
