In the House of Representatives, continuing the ADDRESS-IN-REPLY DEBATE, Mr BUCHANAN (Wairarapa) said .that he was in a position to prove tlaat the suggestion that Mr Massey should accompany the Prime Minister to London emanated from the Government side. The PRIME MINISTER said that he could prove otherwise. ■ Mr BUCHANAN went on to criticise the Hon. Mr Hogg's speech, and said that he would be better employed in settling Crown and opening native lands than in lecturing the Opposition. He hoped that the Prime Minister would frankly state what he felt himself empowered to do at the Conference. The House then adjourned till 2.30 p.m.
