LITERATURE AND JOURNALISM.
CONFERENCE ADJOURNED
(Received June 11, 8.45 a.m.) LONDON, June 10. The Conference discussed literature and journalism to-day. Brilliant speeches were made by Viscount Morley (chairman), Lord Milner, Mr Churchill, Mr Birrell and Mr W. L. Courtney. Other speakers were: Sir Edward Russell (editor of the Liverpool Daily Post), Mr Douglas (Auckland), Mr Englebery (Pretoria) and Mr Banerjee (India). The Conference has adjourned until the 25th, when it will resume the discussion on the question of defence.
