After hearing evidence the charge was reduced to one of common assault, and Grey was fined £4; Grey was in the habit of getting drunk. He came home in that condition, and when remonstrated with' by his father he pushed the old man against a. bedstead and broke a rib. He was said to be a good enough son when sober.
