WOOL AND SKIN SALE

Dalgety and Company, Limited, report on their monthly wool and skin sale held yesterday, when they offered 1000 skins, 11 bales and 20 bags of wool, 30 hides, 11 casks fat, quantity of bag and tin fat, also quantity horse-hair and rabbitskins.

The attendance, of buyers was even larger than usual, they being all out for business. Bidding was spirited, values were in sympathy with London prices, -arid were considerably higher than those of last sale, and ruled as follows:— Wool: Half-bred fleece Bid to B|d, pieces s|d, crutchings 4d to s£d. Black wool 4fd, locks 2d. Skins: Half-bred full wool 9d, merino full wool 7d, lambs' 7|d, halfwool crossbred 6£d, halfbred halfwools 7£d, shorts 4d to s£d, pelts 8d to Is 4d. Butchers' green 3s 7d to 4s. Green lambs' 2s 6d. Hides: 3d to sfd for butchers'. Horse-hair: Is 5d per lb. Rabbitskins: Summer's 9d.

Rendered fat in tins 17s 6d, in casks, shipping order, £22 15s per ton. Rough fat 12s 9a. Our next sale will be held on June 29th.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report holding their usual monthly wool and, skin sale yesterday, when they offered a large and attractive catalogue of bale and bag wool, sheepskins, hides, tallow and sundries.
