Dr -Findlay this- morning regarding bankruptcy Jaws, urgin.g that it would be a retrograde step to. allow the Public Trustee" ;and Ms officers to he utilised as official assignees. They also urged the necessity for, the appointment Of approved and registered trade assignees. Dr Fimdlay replied that tlje Prime Minister had not made a definite statement of his intentions, hut one of iris opinions was ;that economy would be effected by abolishing independent official assignees and doing the work through the Public Trust Office. What they had urged would receive Cabinet consideration.
