Rushley's first three overs proved disastrous to the visitors. In his first over he secured Noble, who had batted soundly for fifty minutes and in his second over Strudwick took Armstrong low on, off side, and repeated the same catch brilliantly off Ransford in Rushby's third* over. ,■ The light was bad.
