RAILWAY FROM NAPIER TO GISBORNE.
[PBES9' ASSOCIATION.] . - ' ' NAPIER, May 18. A deputation waited on the Minister for Public Works yesterday^, to urge the construction of a railway line between Napier and Gisborne. Mr McKenzie said that other lines were more urgently needed. He thought that it would pay, but th 6 line from Gisborne northwards would pay better still. He advised them to endeavour to get Parliament to authorise the line, and he would be pleased ±o support,them.
