Capt; Naylor, late of the steamer Penguin, has retired from the Union Company's service. Mr Henry Trent, Commissioner of Crown Land's for iiawke's Bay, who is retiring from the public service, has been entertained at Napier at a dinner by the Civil Service Association, I and presented with'an illuminated ad- ' dress signed by the officers of the Lands and Survey Department in the j Hawke's. Bay and Nelson districts.
