The turbine steamer Maheno is to lie up for extensive repairs to her high-pressure turbines, which were seriously damaged during her last trip from Bluff to Auckland via ports. It is reported that the Union Company has ordered, from Home a new high-pressure turbine for the Maori. It is thought' that a- new turbine will reduce the present enormous coaHrill.
