At the State banquet, given at Vienna in honor of the Kaiser, the Emperor Francis Joseph, in proposing the Kaiser's health, expressed gtiati-; tude for the latter's' peaceful endeavours at the moment when peace was exposed to many dangers. . m The Kaiser referred to the vitality of the alliance, which recently contributed to preserve European peace. The Emperors jointly telegraphed to the King of Italy an expression of their unalterable friendship.
