WELLINGTON, May 14. Careful consideration is being given by the Government to the police force with a view to maintaining the 'equired efficiency upon the most economical basis. The expansion of the Dominion necessarily requires increasing police protection. The increases have amounted to an average of £11,000 each year since 1904.
