KIWI HOOKEY CLUB

The annual general meeting of the Kiwi Hockey Club was held last night, Mr D. Robertson being in the chair. The following officers were elected:—President, Mr Jas. Benning; Vice-Presidents, Messrs J. Conolly, B. A. Sturrock, G. T. Palmer, A. E. Brunette, H. V. Bi-owne, G. McKay, J. J. Ward and Dr. Walker. Mr N. JFisk was re-elect-ed captain, and Mr W. Jackson was elected vice-captain. The position of secretary and treasurer was again entrusted to Mr N. Paton, who has held that position for some considerable time, and who was last night the recipient of a bonus in recognition of his past services. The committee appointed were: Messrs D. .Robertson, F. Clouston, W. Hay, W! G. Browne and Fred Ferry. Selection Committee, Messrs N. Fisk, .-!>,. Robertson and W. Jackson. Messrs ..N. Paton and Fred Ferry were elected as delegates to the Union. , Several new members were elected, arid it was arranged that the season should open on Wednesday, 26th May. The club intend to run two teams this season, an A and a B team, the latter to be composed mostly of >/ednesday afternoon players. The two teams are to be practically run separately, each having its own appointed captain, etc. The B's intend holding a meeting next week to elect officers, etc. Mr N. Fisk, of the A team, offered a trophy, to be presented at the end of the season to the player attending most practices.
