TEAMSTER ATTACKED BY A SYRIAN.

[press association.] (Received May 13, 10.20 a.m.) X SYDNEY, May 13. A teamster named Fmmgan crawled to a house at Reefton with terrible wounds on his head. His condition is critical. He stated that a Syrian attacked him with an axe, i; is supposed with the intention of jobbing him. A heap of wood was collected near the scene of the attack, and it is believed that the Syrian meant to cremate Finnigan's body. The Syrian has not yet been captured, though he is suffering from a shot-wound inflicted by one of his rmrsuers.
