QUESTION OF RENEWAL

[PKESS ASSOCIATION.] (Received May 12, 11.15 a.m.) MELBOURNE, May 12. The Postmaster-General has received a cablegram from Canada asking if the Commonwealth is willing to renew the existing Vancouver mail contract for another year. Mr Thomas says that he desires to obtain some improvement if the contract is renewed for a year only. The whole matter .involves the greater "All-Red" scheme, and although it will probably be renewed for the ensuing year arrangements beyond that are likely to form part of a comprehensive "All-Red" scheme.
