Lamb: Canterbury light 4 13-161, medium 4|d, heavy 4£d; Southland and North Island unchanged. Beef: Fores 2\d, hinds unchanged. Australian sheep, heavy 2|-d, light 2|d; lambs, best brands 3fd, fair and inferior quality unchanged; beef, fores 2jd, hinds unchanged. River Plate sheep, heavy 2id, light 2-Jd; lambs unchanged; beef, fores 2 3-16 d, hinds unchanged. Hemp is slow. April-June shipment £23.
Copra is steady. So-uth Sea, in bags, £18 2s 6d.
Antimony £8 10s per ton; tin plates, charcoal 13s 3d; .angle steel £5 2s 6d; German ss; lead £13 5s per ton. -■ ' ' Linseed oil £21.
Wheat: Cargoes of Australian sold at 42s 3d, 42s 7£d and 42s 9d respectively, and two at 42s 6d. Wool: The Antwerp sales closed with increased eagerness to secure fine crossbreds and merinos at 7£ per cent, advance on the March sales; secondaries 5 per cent, advance.
Shares: Waihi, buyers £8 18s 9d, sellers £9 Is 3d; Junction, buyers 33s 9d, sellers 86s 3d.
