BOWLING.
NEW CLUB FOR BLENHEIM
Twenty-five (residents of Grove Road met at Messrs Giriffitihs and! Soai's rooms last night, when the question* of forming a Bowling Club was discussed, Mr H. L. Jackson presiding. After some discussion had taken place, it was proposed by Mr Holoroft a.nd seconded by Mr Heffer, that a club be formed, and that it be named1 the Riversdale Bowling Club. TMs was carried.
The following officers weo-e elected: —President, Mr H. L. Jacksani; VicePresidents, Messrs S. J. Heffer and J. Holdaway; Secretary aaid Treasurer, Mi- L. C. Bartleitt; Committee, Messrs F. W. Dodsoai, F. 0. Linstrom, J. Wemyss ; W. Ching, R. C. Holcroft, C. Tunnacliffe and R. Heywaird, five to form a quorum;- Gireen Committee, Messrs J. Holdaway, H. L. Jackson, S. J. Heffer and! L. C. Bartlett.
A sub-committee, consisting of Messrs H. L. Jackson, S. J. Heffea 1 and L. C. Bartlett, was ■appoinited to cLraw up rule® and submit them to, a further meeting. It was decided that a debenture-list of £200 in £1 shares be opened;. Votes of tha-nks to the chairman and to Messrs Griffiths and. San for ■the use of their roomsl terminated the meeting.
