SHIPPING DISPUTES

AUCKLAND, April 30. The Arbitration Court -made an award on the lines of the agreement arrived at between the parties in the shipmasters' and boatbuildens' disputes. A feature of 'the latter agreement is Is 4d per hour for repairing work, meaning all work on <a vessel other than that performed in process of construction.
The award in. the shipmasters' dispute provides for annual leave of fourteen days on full Avages, as follows :■ — Masters of steameirs of 1001 to 1700 tons gross .register, £27 per monitih; between 601 and 1000 tons, £25; 241 to 600 tons, £22; 151 to 240 ton®, £18; 25 to 100 tons, £16. The above order shall wot apply to intercolonial and Home tirade sailing-vessels, but the following shall apply: 601 toais met register and over, £17 per month; 401 to 600 tons, £16; under 401 tons, £15.
