(Received April 23, 10.10 a.m.) LONDON, April 24. Mr Lloyd-George, Chancellor of the Exchequer, replying to a question, said that the corner in wheat was riot a matter concerning which the Government could usefully legislate, but it was considering the possibility of increasing the stamp tax on options over futures, whicH would terminate only in the buying of differences. ,

The wheat market is dull. Cargoes are about threepence easier. The American visible supply is 55,077,000 bushels.
