Mr Churchill, speaking at the Chamber of Commerce banquet, said that the revision of the French tariff was a matter of the gravest concern to the trading community. lhe Board of Trade were fully prepared to take steps to safeguard the interests of the country- America's revisions appeared to partake of the nature of a reduction of duties.
