LAWN TENNIS.

Two matches in the Marlborough Lawn Tennis Association's competitions were played on the Dillon Street courts on Saturday last—one senior and one junior. In each cuse the contending teams belonged to Mailoorough and Spring Creek Clubs, and both matches resulted in a win for the home team. In the senior contest the teams are handicapped, while in trie junior everybody "starts level. Spring Creek's lead, however, Was soon nullified, and Marlborough won very easily. Enjoyable afternoon tea was provided by the ladies of the Marlborough Club, and was greatly appreciated by the players.
