The result aroused immense -enthusiasm among the ten thousand spectators. The Australian League team played a draw with Salford, each securing three goals and a try. Messenger lucked a penajty goal and a mark goal iearly in the game, and Saltord .equalised the scores. A vigorous, unscientific game followed.
