[PEESS ASSOCIATION.] (Received Oct. 9, 0.40 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 18. ILlanelly defeated the "Wallabies" •by a goal and a try (8) to a -goal (5). Llanelly secured a try five minutes ■after starting, and soon after Carroll Tan three-quarters the length of the field and scored a try for the "Wallaties." Towards half-time Evans, an International forward, added a brilliant try, which was converted. The second half was hotly contested. The result aroused immense -enthusiasm among the ten thousand spectators. The Australian League team played a draw with Salford, each securing three goals and a try. Messenger lucked a penajty goal and a mark goal iearly in the game, and Saltord .equalised the scores. A vigorous, unscientific game followed. In the second lialf Devereux added a try, -which was unconverted, and Messenger a goal.
